Overview

q.b. Cucina is a fast-growing, female-founded e-commerce company selling artisanal and unique Italian kitchenwares. We are seeking a Fulfillment & Customer Service Manager based in Asheville, NC to help oversee the day-to-day operations of order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer service. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in fulfillment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and works in a clean and organized fashion.

We are also looking for someone who is familiar with inventory management systems and shipping platforms, and who can generate and analyze reports that will help us optimize our fulfillment operations. 

This opportunity is a part-time position, with flex hours. As q.b. Cucina continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to take on more responsibilities and hours, including developing fulfillment and customer service SOPs, assist in hiring new employees, and assume other responsibilities that meet your interest and skill set. We are looking to hire someone that wants to grow and learn with us. Although not required, we are eager to work with candidates that have a passion or interest in Italy and/or cooking.


Responsibilities

Process daily orders by packaging, filling, and shipping product orders.

  • Manage receiving of inventory from international vendors and update new stock online upon arrival.
  • Ensure orders are being filled and shipped timely and accurately.
  • Prevent product damage and shrinkage, accidents, and occupational hazards.
  • Effectively monitor the flow of products and packaging supplies through the inventory management system and warehouse physical storage.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Develop and implement processes to organize, streamline, and scale fulfillment operations.

  • Manage and provide weekly shipping and order reporting. 
  • Help analyze current operations and make recommendations on ways to improve.

Oversee and respond to customer questions, including managing refunds and exchanges.

  • Maintain the highest standards of customer service by immediately attending to and resolving customer issues.
  • Assist in growing our customer base by providing excellent customer service.

As q.b. Cucina grows, we expect the candidate to take on the following responsibilities:

  • Staffing and managing the fulfillment employees to include all permanent and seasonal staff.
  • Provide clear direction and general guidance to the department in the formulation and implementation of procedures, and ensure that these are translated and enforced into action to meet operational goals.
  • Prepare necessary SOPs for fulfillment processes.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in fulfillment operations.
  • Proven history of effective management skills.
  • Exposure to warehouse physical storage operations.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Have a positive, growth mindset.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Participate in cross-training and continuous skill development.
  • Must be able to occasionally work weekends and after-hours during peak times (this is non-typical).
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Located in the Asheville, NC area.
  • Preferred skill: have an interest or passion for cooking and/or Italy.
