For pasta, salad, and pasta salad.
We hate to break it to you, but if you’re still serving pasta on a plate, you’re not fully living. Putting your spaghetti in a soup bowl? Wrong again. The ideal serveware for pasta should be a wide, open bowl, deep enough to capture sauces and hold in a little bit of heat, but shallow and wide enough to give the pasta space to breathe and let off steam. You might have heard this described as the “coupe” (pardon our French!) or “low bowl,” but here we prefer to keep things Italian and call it The Pasta Bowl – although you can certainly use it to serve up stews and salads, too!
Known as “schizzato” in Italy, splatterware comes from humble origins. This centuries-old technique was used to easily add a splash of color to everyday earthenware which was otherwise unadorned. Adriatico is our first custom colorway in collaboration with IVO Angel and artisan Giulio Lucarini, featuring duo-tone mare and celeste blues, a combination of where the Adriatic sea and sky meet.
