Splatterware Barchetta Platter

$215.00

Out of stock

A vessel for all.

Meet the “barchetta,” a boat-shaped platter made to serve a variety of dishes at the table, from prosciutto e melone to crostini to family-style pasta. Its long, oval shape means it spreads across the length of the table, creating a beautiful centerpiece that’s always within arm’s reach.

Known as “schizzato” in Italy, splatterware comes from humble origins. This centuries-old technique was used to easily add a splash of color to everyday earthenware which was otherwise unadorned. Adriatico is our first custom colorway in collaboration with IVO Angel and artisan Giulio Lucarini, featuring duo-tone mare and celeste blues, a combination of where the Adriatic sea and sky meet.
